MKMMA Week 3—Shine your light, snuff out fear

  1. Conscious thought, then, is master of this sun centre from which the life and energy of the
entire body flows and the quality of the thought which we entertain determines the quality of the
thought which this sun will radiate, and the character of the thought which our conscious mind
entertains will determine the character of the thought which this sun will radiate, and the nature of
the thought which our conscious mind entertains will determine the nature of thought which this
sun will radiate, and consequently will determine the nature of the experience which will result.
  2. It is evident, therefore, that all we have to do is let our light shine; the more energy we can
radiate, the more rapidly shall we be enabled to transmute undesirable conditions into sources of
pleasure and profit. The important question, then, is how to let this light shine; how to generate
    this energy.
  3. Non-resistant thought expands the Solar Plexus; resistant thought contracts it. Pleasant
thought expands it; unpleasant thought contracts it. Thoughts of courage, power, confidence and
hope all produce a corresponding state, but the one arch enemy of the Solar Plexus which must
be absolutely destroyed before there is any possibility of letting any light shine is fear. This enemy
must be completely destroyed; he must be eliminated; he must be expelled forever; he is the cloud
which hides the sun; which causes a perpetual gloom.
  4. It is this personal devil which makes men fear the past, the present and the future; fear
themselves, their friends and their enemies; fear everything and everybody. When fear is
effectually and completely destroyed, your light will shine, the clouds will disperse and you will
have found the source of power, energy and life.
  5. When you find that you are really one with the Infinite power, and when you can
consciously realize this power by a practical demonstration of your ability to overcome any
adverse condition by the power of your thought, you will have nothing to fear; fear will have
been destroyed and you will have come into possession of your birthright.
  6. It is our attitude of mind toward life which determines the experiences with which we are to
    MKMMA Master Keys 20
meet; if we expect nothing, we shall have nothing; if we demand much, we shall receive the greater
portion. The world is harsh only as we fail to assert ourselves. The criticism of the world is bitter
only to those who cannot compel room for their ideas. It is fear of this criticism that causes many
ideas to fail to see the light of day.
  7. But the man who knows that he has a Solar Plexus will not fear criticism or anything else; he
will be too busy radiating courage, confidence, and power; he will anticipate success by his mental
attitude; he will pound barriers to pieces, and leap over the chasm of doubt and hesitation which
    fear places in his path.
  8. A knowledge of our ability to consciously radiate health, strength and harmony will bring us
into a realization that there is nothing to fear because we are intouch with Infinite Strength.

MKMMA Week 2…Dual Thought

The Law of Dual Thought simply states “Thought is a combination of ideation and feeling. We can attach any feeling to a thought we want.”

Haanel, in week 2, writes: “Our difficulties are largely due to confused ideas and ignorance of our true interests. The great task is to discover the laws of nature to which we are to adjust ourselves. Clear thinking and moral insight are, therefore, of incalculable value. All processes, even those of thought, rest on solid foundations.

The keener the sensibilities, the more acute the judgment, the more delicate the taste, the more refined the moral feelings, the more subtle the intelligence, the loftier the aspiration — the purer and more intense are the gratifications which existence yields. Hence, it is that the study of the best that has been thought in the world, gives supreme pleasure.

The powers, uses, and possibilities of the mind under the new interpretations, are incomparably more wonderful than the most extravagant accomplishment, or even dreams of material progress. Thought is energy. Active thought is active energy; concentrated thought is concentrated energy. Thought concentrated on a definite purpose becomes power.”

Thought is energy.

Thought concentrated on a definite purpose becomes power.

This is where controlling your thoughts comes in…that on which you concentrate your thoughts will become your reality.

You decide. What kind of energy or feeling are you attaching to your thoughts? A big challenge comes up. Is it a roadblock or an opportunity? The beauty is that you get to choose!

Cement or gold? It’s up to you!

MKMMA Week 1…Hindsight 2020 or 2020 Vision…

Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.

Heading into a new session, I am reflecting on where I have been and where I am going. I was introduced to the Master Key Experience 2 years ago and joined as a member. That was an amazing experience, which ended up being a year to clear a bunch of cement that had literally just been piled on top of the cement already stuck on from years past. Then, because as a teacher I learn by doing, I made the decision to become a Guide to help others along their journey to greatness, which helped me learn and grow also. I am now a Certified Guide and embarking on this adventure yet again.

As we get started, yes I am a Guide, but I am taking the opportunity to start fresh with the habits of the sit, writing my DMP, and completing the daily reads. I am anticipating new growth in myself and the accomplishment of goals. Life has changed in 2020. What I thought was important when I wrote my first DMP has changed, and my updates written during Spring Break are no longer totally in line with what I want now, with the changing world in which we find ourselves. What is important looks a little different through the lens of living during a pandemic and I look forward to see where my DMP tweaks and this new adventure takes me.

Can’t wait to SEE where this new session leads!

Commencement MKMMA…We’ve Only Just Begun

If you’ve been reading my blog through this journey, you may have noticed a crazy thing I do…I have a song for EVERYTHING! Yes, literally everything! It drives my husband crazy! And this evening, I’m thinking about the song by the Carpenters…my momma loved listening to them when I was a little girl.

So here we are, at the “end” of the course, but just getting started on fully living and enjoying what’s left of the “dash”…how many years of your favorite season do you have left? Thinking about the longevity of the Scandinavian women in my family, I will likely be pushing 100. My great-grandmother was 99 when she passed, and my lovely Grandma “Corky” just turned 94 and is in great health. She’s planning to be around for many more years, and she’s as spry as anyone in their 60s! With that in mind, I easily could have over 50 years left to enjoy my favorite season…SUMMER! (Perfect season for a Yellow, right?)

In this week’s webinar Mark for Go90Grow was discussing “the dash” and had everyone do the exercise of thinking about how many years we have left to enjoy our favorite season. He brought me onto the webby and asked me: “how many years do you have left in your dash?” (40ish), “so you’re about…” (40ish), “what is your favorite season? (summer), “why?” (because of family time, vacations, travel, beaches, surf and sun), “how would it feel to have all of the rest of your summers off to have only for vacation and not have to worry about working at all?” (well, I’m a teacher and technically we kind of have summers off already, even though that’s when we have conferences and trainings and planning to prep for the next year), “how would you feel if you didn’t have to work at all in the summer and could have the whole summer to be on vacation and have the funds to help others to join you on vacations too?” (that would be amazing, of course!). Yes, I have summers “off”, but if we don’t acquire additional income in the summer (my husband is an educator also), funds are always sparse by August, especially if we take any trips or get annual passes to one of the many amusement park options near us. Living like this for the next 40ish-50ish years is not okay, so I’m working on rectifying the situation so that I can have true health and liberty.

I’m still working on my DMP revamp. I want to retire from my J.O.B. in the next couple years. I need to be laser focused. The Universe has infinite options, and as a Yellow, deciding which path to take is a challenge. But, as we come to the “end” of the MKMMA course, I have made the decision to continue with the lifetime membership option. I’m excited to see where the road takes me next on this journey of service to others and living the life I was meant to live. And as I said before, “we’ve only just begun!”

Because I’m always a little corny with my songs for everything, I’m sharing a corny version of the song for you with full lyrics below:

“Grandma wants me to be happy.” –Happy Gilmore

“We’ve Only Just Begun”
We’ve only just begun to live
White lace and promises
A kiss for luck and we’re on our way

Before the rising sun, we fly
So many roads to choose
We’ll start out walking and learn to run

Sharing horizons that are new to us
Watching the signs along the way
Talking it over, just the two of us
Working together day by day

And when evening comes, we smile
So much of life ahead
We’ll find a place where there’s room to grow
And yes, we’ve just begun

(Songwriters: Roger S. Nichols/Paul H. Williams)
