Look to this day!
For it is life, the very life of life.
In its brief course lie all the verities and realities of your existence:
The bliss of growth,
The glory of action,
The splendor of beauty;
For yesterday is but a dream,
And tomorrow is only a vision;
But today, well lived, makes every yesterday a dream of happiness
And every tomorrow a vision of hope.
Look well, therefore, to this day.
The other day I saw a post on social media that stuck with me about this very subject, and then I read the above poem. “If you are depressed you are living in the past. If you are anxious you are living in the future. If you are at peace you are living in the present.”
Making the mindshift into living at peace is the best thing about this journey for me. Making a vision for tomorrow while doing the work to make it happen today!
